Marino Vanhoenacker comparing winter 2009 and 2010

von Marino Vanhoenacker, am 29.01.2010
LAST WINTER : coldest edition ever at least as far as I can remember, most certainly the coldest since I do triathlon. Cold, cold but dry and that made it possible to do all the trainingsessions for Ironman South Africa 2009 at home in Belgium. After a while your mind gets used to the cold and your body has to follow in a way, like it or not..

THIS WINTER: Big difference, Snowy roads that turned into ice-ways, no chance for cycling outside, even running outside became a problem. In the worst case we get this for a day or 3-4 but this time around it lasted and lasted forever, SO...

Trainingcamp: It had been a while since my last real trainingcamp and at this point it seemed the perfect choice. Weather is still terrible at home and here at Fuerteventura it's around 20°C, windy, first week sunny this week cloudy, but great training if you need to do some miles and that's just what I need.

I'm thinking about an early Ironman this year, so I need the miles or at least some..

Post you soon.
