Anti-Doping programme

von Dresdner Kleinwort, am 27.06.2008
Dresdner Kleinwort is committed to supporting the highest levels of sportsmanship and professionalism.

For this reason, we have tasked the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) and Sylvia Schenk - Chairperson of Transparency International, Section Germany, and our external advisor and recognised expert on this subject - to draw up a rigorous anti-doping programme for our Triathlon Team.

The programme they developed for the Triathlon Team differs from the standard form of monitoring in a number of areas:

  • athletes will be tested 10 to 12 times a year, rather than the standard six

  • one or two pre-competition tests will be carried out by NADA just before an event

  • a database will be produced for each team member to allow long-term monitoring of key values. Blood and urine samples will be frozen to allow for future analysis for insulin (urine), growth hormones (blood) and other substances that cannot currently be tested for.

By adopting this principle of zero tolerance, Dresdner Kleinwort and its athletes aim to show that outstanding sporting success can be achieved fair and square.

We hope all forms of sport can benefit from this initiative in the future.
