Timo Bracht gives advice for Hawaii
(16.09.2009)The flight will be long, very long. Try to have a relaxed start of your journey and be able to look forward for the next days and weeks.
I always try not to sleep during the flight and it works until the point when we are two hours away from Kona. You will be absolutely overtired but at least able to sleep until the next morning afterwards.
Probably there will be no food or drinks at the appartment. Prepare yourself...more

Predominant Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander from Australia won the race in front of his compatriots Richie Cunningham and Paul Matthews. Normann Stadler from San Diego - 10th year of preparation for Hawaii
(11.09.2009)I already have passed my preparation for Hawaii in San Diego 10 years. This time I start in an absolutely new way – it is the first time together with my own little family. After a relaxed flight of 12 hours we arrived in California and travelled the last part in a hired car. From LA the way leads towards the South. In the little coastal city Encinitas we have rented a small house. The new home is surrounded by a tropical garden and will be the initial point for some hard training units.
