14 victories and 22 Top 3 placements in the "luggage" for Hawaii
(24.09.2009)Several days before the season’s highlight on Hawaii, the Commezbank Triathlon Team can look back on a successful season – and the athletes even want top it at the World Championship: So far they already have celebrated 14 victories and finished 22 times among the top 3 in 2009. Out of eight athletes, three have been able to win Ironman races, despite being limited to a maximum of three full distance races per year. The Belgian Marino Vanhoenacker even won two races over the full Ironman distance. So far no German triathlete has been more successful than Timo Bracht in 2009...more

At quarter past seven the sun went down, the swimming pool was open until eight pm. When I took place in the car the thermometer showed 43°C – without sunshine...more
