First of all a last quick thought about the race itself: Ironman Klagenfurt: 1st in 7h52m05s. A superfast time with 3 steady legs: Swim 47 / Bike 4h18 / Run 2h42 + transitions. Commerzbank triathletes prepare for Hawaii in different training camps

The six Hawaii qualifiers of the Commerzbank Team will prepare for the season’s highlight in several training camps. Normann Stadler and Marino Vanhoenacker travelled to Mallorca today where they will be training until August 26th. Timo Bracht starts at Viernheimer Triathlon in Germany on August 22nd. I came to Zürich to try to win the race - but reality looked different in the end. Average swim and then my muscles just played crazy on the bike ... looooong sunday ride. I am so sorry for all the people who came here to watch and support me. That hurts much more then my muscles did. No excuses though. I got beaten badly and Ronnie is a great champ!Congrats!!!!! more

That was a hard day in Lake Placid and I had to fight for every meter. Last year I felt like flying over the course. But this year, my legs did not work like they used to do. Ben performed extremely well. I knew that he was good on the running course. So I tried to push hard on the bike. Maik Twelsiek finished third today at Ironman Lake Placid in 8:48:33 hours and was the second Commerzbank athlete to get on the podium this Sunday after the second place of Marino Vanhoenacker in Antwerp.
