Mathias Hecht:

Mathias Hecht: "This was not my day."

(07.06.2010)

Well, this was really not my day yesterday. The day started with an ok swim where I was keeping up with the leaders without big problems. But in transition area the troubles started. I couldn't get my race number belt fixed, lost important seconds and missed the express train with Raelert and Marceau. So my front riding tactic changed into an unusual chasing tactic. But very soon that was the smallest of my problems...more

Marino about St. Pölten: "The guys were flying behind me."

(30.05.2010)

Today was different from last year, instead of a close 2-men-race it turned out to be a 5-men-race with eventually big differnces. Bockel and Kuttor broke away on the swim and had about 35" to my group with McCormack, Ospaly and Raelert. We really had to push hard to bridge the gap to Bockel but finally managed to do so and rode together until km 80 with Bockel, Mc Cormack, Ospaly and myself.
Then I decided...more

Marino Vanhoenacker reports about the period between Malaysia and Austria

(25.05.2010)

After Ironman Malaysia I took a long recovery. It had been a hard race in severe conditions that really drained my body. Right after the race I felt perfect but that’s probably the reminder of the adrenaline and the kick. But after a few days the rest comes back and you get back into usual rythm in life and then it hits you. So a few weeks of really slow and short sessions had to do and did the job...more
